Charity Walk, Bois de la Cambre and optional Chalet Robinson Brunch
Fee 5 euro (minimum)
Charity walk of about 8 km in Bois de la Cambre. This is one of the largest parks in Brussels and is laid out in an English style resembling a forest with walks, an artificial lake, horse riding and other activities. English soldiers played a cricket match here the day before the battle of Waterloo, now marked by a bronze plaque, so it has historical interest as well as beautiful nature.
Meeting point: Longchamp tram stop on Avenue Winston Churchill. Tram 7 or bus 38. Meet by 10.30.
Jane B will book an optional brunch at Chalet Robinson at a rate of 45 Euros. She will need prepayment for this by 1 November please. Contact Jane on Whatsapp on 0485 940676 for payment details. Non walkers are also welcome to join the lunch meet at the landing stage for the ferry by 12:45pm.
